This program prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers engaged in a wide variety of projects. Includes instruction in various engineering support functions for research, production, and operations, and applications to specific engineering specialties. This program requires students to select a concentration to define the specific field about which program instruction is focused.

Student Learning Outcomes

Computer Engineering Technology Concentration Outcomes

  • Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
  • Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline.
  • Identify and use appropriate technical literature and apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments.
  • Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments, and analyze and interpret the results.
  • Function effectively as a member of a technical team.
