Health Sciences, BS

This applied science discipline includes the study of human health and the application of that knowledge to improve health and treat disease. Pennwest California’s Health Science program combines traditional science courses with specialized courses in multicultural healthcare, special populations, and complimentary healthcare. This program prepares you to pursue the post-graduate education required for a career as an Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physician’s Assistant, and more.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students graduating with a BS in Health Science will demonstrate proficiency and skill in Health Science content areas.
Students graduating with a BS in Health Science will be able to present scientific data in an appropriate context and in a variety of ways at different levels.
Students graduating with a BS in Health Science will be demonstrate foundational knowledge essential to enter a post-graduate healthcare related profession.
