COMJ 3271 - Communication & Gender


Credit Hours: 3

Examines the role of gender in shaping behaviors. Topics include aspects of language, culture, social roles, orientation, conflict, and identity. Students examine the role of communication in shaping, reproducing, sustaining, and challenging the socially constructed meanings of gender.

Prerequisite: COMJ 1010  or COMJ 1101  or COMJ 1102  or COMJ 1103  or COMJ 1104  or  COMJ 1105   or COMJ 1106  or COMJ 1107  or COMJ 1108  or COMJ 2201  or ENGL 1200
