ED 3610 - Content Area Literacy
Credit Hours: 3
The purpose of this course is to help the prospective teachers of middle and secondary education academic subject areas develop an understanding and appreciation of the academic and literacy their students will need. Teacher candidates will understand how literacy skills are developed. They will develop teaching practices and learning strategies to help students become more successful learners with attention to their own subject areas.
