GEOL 3400 - Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology


Credit Hours: 4

A study of igneous and metamorphic rocks. Special consideration is given to their formation processes, tectonic settings, methods of identification, and classification systems. Macroscopic, microscopic, and chemical analyses are emphasized using hand samples, thin sections, and other specialized analytical methods and data.
