MATH 3000 - Foundations of Mathematics


Credit Hours: 3

This course is a rigorous approach to the study of the fundamental proof techniques in mathematics. It will introduce different methods for constructing proofs, including direct proofs, contradiction, contrapositive, and induction. Students will utilize these techniques to construct proofs in a variety of mathematical content areas.

Prerequisite: MATH 2410 (Calculus I)  with a C- or better
