NURS 4453 - Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Nursing Theory


Credit Hours: 3

This course prepares students to provide care to children, adolescents and adults experiencing psychiatric/behavioral health problems and coping deficits in acute and community settings. Emphasis on the psychological development, psychopathology, patient education, treatment modalities and therapeutic nurse-patient relationships.  

Prerequisite: NURS 3330  and NURS 3340  and NURS 3350  with a minimum of a C

CoRequisite: NURS 4442  and NURS 4440
