BIOL 4800 - Vegetation Sampling and Analysis Credit Hours: 4
This course focuses on the practical and quantitative skills needed to survey plant communities. This includes ecology, taxonomy and identification, with a focus on the plants of Western PA. We will cover the statistical and analytical principles underlying vegetation sampling for deer management, wetland delineation, and habitat restoration.
Prerequisite: BIOL 1400 or BIOL 1700 and BIOL 2248
