CHEM 3270 - Natural Products Chemistry

This course provides a comprehensive overview of secondary metabolites found in nature, particularly in plants. The chemistry and biochemistry behind important classes of compounds will be covered. The biological relevance of the various natural products will be discussed. Students that complete this class will examine natural products and determine their classifications, importance and possible sources.
