GGIS 3120 - Computer Cartography Credit Hours: 3
This course introduces the art and science of mapmaking. It is designed to effectively communicate quantitative and qualitative geographic data. Map design, including composition, type and color use, scale, coordinate systems, and layout balance and visual hierarchy are taken into consideration depending on the purpose and the audience of the map.
Prerequisite: GEOG 1112 or GGIS 1210 or GGIS 2100 General Education Attribute - Competency-Quantitative Application
