HIST 3010 - African American History to 1877 Credit Hours: 3
The course explores the history of African Americans from their western African origins until Reconstruction in the United States. It begins with various African civilizations and trade relationships with Europeans, then surveys the middle passage and complexity of US slavery. The last portion of the course examines the Black quest for freedom.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1200 General Education Attribute - Competency-Intercultural Fluency
