HIST 3015 - African American History Since 1877 Credit Hours: 3
This course focuses on African Americans since 1877. It begins with Reconstruction then consistently examines African Americans’ fight for civil and human rights. It explores ‘agency’ and contributions of African Americans to the world. The course uses frameworks to examine the Black experience such as gender, region, age, and political expression.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1200 General Education Attribute - Competency-Intercultural Fluency
