The course focuses on the role of the RN as a leader in a changing healthcare environment. Theories/principles of leadership are explored & applied to nursing practice. RN students apply concepts of motivation, change, communication, empowerment, ethics, & clinical thinking in a proposed change to practice applicable to diverse healthcare systems.
