This course briefly surveys ethical theory along with a detailed focus on ethical issues within the criminal justice profession. Topics include deontological, consequential, and virtue theories in ethics, theoretical conceptions of retributive justice, and professional codes of ethics in policing, the law, corrections, and probation.
