The Fisheries and Wildlife Science minor at PennWest provides a broad-based curriculum that introduces a student to the various techniques and philosophies of fisheries and wildlife conservation and management. Almost all courses include a laboratory portion where a student will study the practical application of scientific theories and learn how to apply the scientific method with inquiry-based investigations.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Apply socio-cultural, economic, and ecological knowledge to develop, implement, and assess fisheries and wildlife conservation and management strategies.
- Apply the scientific method as a process of inquiry and use the method in the process of decision-making.
- Apply quantitative tools and field techniques to address fisheries and wildlife conservation and management strategies.
Curriculum Requirements
Students must complete a minimum of 6 credits of advanced standing per the PennWest minor policy. |
