The Certificate in Human Resources Management (CHRM) is designed to offer non-traditional students (e.g., older, working adults) the knowledge, skills, abilities, and others (KSAOs) needed to assume entry to higher levels of professional HRM. Advisement Sheet

Student Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate entry-level knowledge: a) the content and scope of the main subfunctions within HRM (e.g., selection, recruitment, training, development, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, etc.); b) techniques and processes used by professionals in these positions; and c) the foundations and recent developments of the profession.
Evaluate, implement, and customize products and services that automate or otherwise facilitate HRM subfunctions in a given organization.
Demonstrate entry level knowledge and coordination procedures about strategic management, administration, operations, and regulations affecting HRM.
Admission Requirements
- GPA (to start or complete): 2.5 or better
- Grade requirements: “C” or better for an average 2.0 GPA
- Majors not permitted to get this minor: The HRM minor and the HRM certificate are mutually exclusive
