Special Education Career Changer, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate

The Special Education Career Changer program prepares individuals with a bachelor’s degree to meet the requirements of Special Education PK-12 Certification within Pennsylvania. Coursework and practicum experiences will prepare highly qualified teachers in evidence-based practices to meet the complex needs of all students.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students will be competent special educators.
Students will analyze the needs of students with disabilities, or at risk for disabilities, using evidence-based practices and develop goals and design, as well as implement, an individualized education plan and instructional programming.
Students will exhibit teacher behaviors consistent with the range of evidence-based models of education.
