The M.Ed. in Special Education will allow students to expand their employment opportunities by obtaining certification in special education or will allow already certified special education teachers to enhance their skill set by choosing a specialty area.

*If someone already has enough reading and math credits (add-on degree) they would not need the additional content for certification and would only need the 36 credits. Someone getting an initial teacher certification in special education would need the additional content which would be 42 credits.
