The Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution is a 30-credit cross-disciplinary program training students to identify, analyze, manage, defuse, and prevent conflicts among individuals, groups, and countries. Through exploration of theory, empirical analysis, research, and practical training, students learn to identify the conditions and dynamics of various forms of conflict and respond in ways promoting peace, constructive social change, and respect for human rights. Students are prepared to serve in a range of fields employing negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and conciliation. Employment opportunities include work in government, nongovernmental and intergovernmental organizations, nonprofit organizations, labor relations, legal systems, human service agencies, human resources, and public advocacy.
