Combining music, technology and entrepreneurship, the B.S. degree in Commercial Music Technology (CMT) provides students with the skills and experience necessary for a career in today’s music and media industries. The four-year, 120-credit curriculum fuses traditional approaches to the study of music performance, music history, and theory with modern-day applications, including popular music analysis, live sound reinforcement, audio engineering and entrepreneurship. The CMT degree has three distinct areas of focus that aid students in developing a well-rounded set of artistic and multimedia skills. These three areas of focus are: Music (30%), Technology (30%) and Entrepreneurship (30%) - with 10% general education courses.
