The BSBA in accounting at PennWest University is designed to meet the fluid demands of the accounting profession through a commitment to high-quality, relevant, and integrative teaching. The program prepares graduates for careers in public, corporate, governmental, and not-for-profit accounting. The program helps prepare students for professional exams, including the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials. Graduates will benefit from engaging faculty who hold a range of professional certifications and have achieved significant professional experience.

Program Notes
Students can choose a minor in Economics, Forensic Accounting, Global Business, Human Resource Management, Management, Management Information Systems, or Marketing. 9 credits from these minors overlap with the Business Core courses, so only 12 credits are required to complete the minor. Students can choose the Spanish for Professions certificate (12 credits). Other minors or certificates may be chosen but will require more credits (which may apply to General Education or free electives). Students with dual majors or dual degrees are not required to complete a minor.

Depending on the program of study, students may need to complete additional credits to ensure the total credit hour requirement is met. |
