The Forensic Investigation/ Cyber Forensics minor program offers a comprehensive study of physical evidence with a strong emphasis on applying forensic sciences. It gives students a thorough understanding of the use of technologies, laws, and procedures associated with identifying, collecting, analyzing, and presenting traditional and digital evidence.

This minor program provides advanced, hands-on training in forensic evidence methodologies, crime scene investigation techniques, cyber security, cybercrime investigation, and cutting-edge computer forensics tools. Through this minor program, students will gain a deep understanding of the forensic investigation process, including the collection, preservation, and analysis of evidence, as well as the application of scientific and legal principles to the investigation of crimes. This minor program will prepare students for careers in forensic science, crime scene investigation, law enforcement, cyber security, and related fields.

Student Learning Outcomes


  • Understand in depth how forensic sciences play a significant role in crime scene investigation and other scientific applications.
  • Explore various disciplines and methodologies in the forensic sciences and identify the nature of crime scene evidence and the application of the technology associated with its forensic identification.
  • Apply cyber forensics to practical investigations.
  • Analyze the techniques for the collection and analysis of digital evidence.
