The A.S-Pre-pharmacy degree develops theoretical and practical skills for a wide-range of career opportunities as students prepare for future pharmacy programs. Using modern instructional techniques and instrumentation, the program will develop critical and independent thinking, collegial exchange of ideas and knowledge, and high ethical standards.

- Students will use chemical theory to produce rationale for chemical reactivity.
- Students will apply quantitative reasoning to scientific data, to interpret experimental results and draw conclusions.
- Students will maintain accurate and structured records of experimental work using standard scientific format.
- Students will develop laboratory knowledge, technique, and instrumentation skills.
- Students will analyze experimental and instrumentation data, interpret experimental results, and draw conclusions.
- Students will sustain a commitment to safety in the laboratory.
- Students will be able to use electronic databases to search and access primary literature.
- Students will be able to use personal productivity software to create written reports and visual aids.
- Students will generate written reports that reflect the accepted style, conventions, and standards of the discipline of chemistry.
- Students will compose and deliver effective oral presentations in a professional manner.
