Exercise Science, Wellness and Human Performance Concentration

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science-Concentration in Human Performance and Wellness is designed for working professionals who work in the fitness and wellness arena, or those planning to transition into the space. Program students are provided with a broad base of exercise science, including anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, and integrated personal fitness training. Additionally, students will have specialized coursework in youth fitness, senior fitness, and contemporary issues. Students will be eligible to earn two separate certifications while enrolled in the program, including the Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Certified Speed Specialist from the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE).

General Education
At least two disciplines must be represented within each of the following areas: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Tech. For example: Students cannot have all courses with a prefix of BIOL in Natural Sciences and Tech. You must take courses from at least two different discipline areas (ie. BIOL and CHEM).
