Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology Concentration

The Exercise Physiology Concentration provides a strong component of practical application and experiential learning in the field of exercise science. Our faculty pride themselves in incorporating hands-on learning through laboratory experiences as well as campus and community opportunities. Career possibilities include corporate fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, strength and conditioning coaching, and research assistant as well as pre-Physical Therapy and pre-Occupational Therapy. In fact, data shows that the highest percentage of students accepted into Physical Therapy programs hold undergraduate degrees in movement science programs including Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, etc.

General Education

At least two disciplines must be represented within each of the following areas: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Tech. For example: Students cannot have all courses with a prefix of BIOL in Natural Sciences and Tech. You must take courses from at least two different discipline areas (ie. BIOL and CHEM).
