Student Learning Outcomes

• Students graduating with a minor in History will demonstrate critical thinking skills in the historical method including the importance of primary sources, historical context, and cause and effect in a chronological sense.
• Students graduating with a minor in History will demonstrate appropriate writing skills to develop a well-supported historical argument with proper use of citations.
• Students graduating with a minor in History will examine various theoretical perspectives within the discipline and utilize accepted methodological approaches in their own writing.
