Game Programming, Minor

This minor provides students with the opportunity to cover the fundamental concepts of programming a video game, while also teaching them some of the core essentials of computer programming and software creation.  This minor is ideal for students who are interested in writing code and creating games, but don’t want to make it their major.

  • Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline. 
  • Learn about how video games are created, and complete at least 2 video game projects.
