This fully online certificate offers flexibility to meet the training needs of applicants with a bachelor’s degree seeking advanced expertise in Arabic language and linguistics. The certificate can be stand-alone or completed as part of the MA Arabic Language and Linguistics degree.

Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language, linguistics, Middle Eastern Studies, or equivalent with a GPA of 2.80 or higher (Students with a GPA below 2.80 may apply for conditional admission). Note Bachelor’s degree in other disciplines will be accept with Proof of Arabic Proficiency. - Official bachelor’s degree transcript that is regionally accredited and/or recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Arabic and English language Proficiency Requirements. - Proof of Arabic Language proficiency: minimum ARAB 2004 Intermediate Arabic II. Waived for Native/Heritage Arabic speakers
- Proof of English proficiency will be needed of Non-US Citizens from non-English speaking countries.
- Waived if Bachelor’s Degree coursework was in English
