The BSBA Economics is a STEM program that prepares learners to apply quantitative tools and micro- and macroeconomic theory to understand decision-making, solve problems and evaluate outcomes in business, government, non-profit and international sectors.

Economics Major Outcomes

  • Solve complex problems by applying microeconomics and macroeconomics models and methodologies

  • Effectively communicate results of an empirical analysis (in written and presentation formats, using appropriate data visualization techniques)

Program Notes


Students can choose a minor in Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Global Business, Human Resource Management, Management, Management Information Systems, or Marketing. 9 credits from these minors overlap with the Business Core courses, so only 12 credits are required to complete the minor. Students can choose the  Spanish for Professions certificate (12 credits). Other minors or certificates may be chosen but will require more credits (which may apply to General Education or free electives). Students with dual majors or dual degrees are not required to complete a minor.

Total Credits: 120


Depending on the program of study, students may need to complete additional credits to ensure the total credit hour requirement is met.
