MATH 4260 - Abstract Algebra I


Credit Hours: 3

This course will provide the student with an introduction to the topics of abstract algebra, including groups, rings, and fields. In addition, this course will further develop the student’s problem-solving skills and ability to follow and to construct a rigorous mathematical proof.

Prerequisite: MATH 3000  with a C- or better and MATH 3210  with a C- or better
