The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Integrated Business degree prepares students for the 21st century global business environment. This program takes an integrative approach to key areas for business success, including accounting, economics, finance, human resources, management and marketing.  A concentration is not required for Integrated Business majors. However, PennWest does offer three academic concentrations in integrated business to specialize broad business skills in event planning and management, intelligent enterprise, or parks and recreation management.

Integrated Business, BSBA Program Level Outcomes

  • Exhibit critical thinking skills for the collection, analysis, and application of data and concepts
  • Displays cultural competence for ethical, sustainable, inclusive, and collaborative leadership practices including a global perspective​
  • Effectively communicates in oral, written, visual, and digital formats​

Intelligent Enterprise Outcomes

  • Apply digital transformation  to business strategy and competition.
  • Compare integrated process views of organizations.
  • Execute enterprise resource planning (ERP) integrated business processes and recognize organizational, master, and transactional data.
  • Apply key Enterprise Systems (ES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems concepts and terminology. 

Event Planning and Managment Outcomes

  • Apply the major concepts from the core functional areas of business in the planning and implementation of a range of events and venues.
  • Evaluate data to support event management decision-making and facilitate event planning and management organizational processes.
  • Display leadership, professionalism, and career readiness skills through experiential learning.
  • Effectively communicate to diverse audiences, purposes, and situations in a variety of events, settings, and contexts.
  •  Design creative event solutions within the interconnected tourism, hospitality, entertainment, education, sport, cultural, heritage, and recreation sectors. 

Parks and Recreation Management Outcomes
