Special Education Teacher Preparation Pathway, Teacher Certification

This 24 credit pathway to certification provides the requirements for Special Education pre-k12 certification for those with initial certification in early childhood education, secondary education, or another prek-12 speciality area. The course work presents information regarding various disabilites, transition, behavior mangagement, IEP development, instructional methods, and a culminating field experience. Those holding certification in a speciality area may require additional coursework in areas of deficiency as determined by special edcuation graduate faculty.
